Anivas Place: guesthouse in Apia

More than half of the 80.000 visitors who come to Samoa every year are Samoans working abroad, visiting their villages and families for a couple of days or weeks per
year.

The rest of the tourists come from New Zealand, Australia and the USA. - In recent years more and more Europeans discovered Samoa as a travel-destination.

Besides the export of agricultural products and some industrial projects tourism is the most important income in Samoa . There are a few hotels, like Aggie Greys,
Kitano Tussitala in Apia or the Sinalei Beach Resort, Upolu, or Stevenson Resort in Manase, Savaii, who offer european standards at a rather high price and
sometimes poor service.

Aside from that, however, there are some clean, friendly and affordable guesthouses where you can get bed & breakfast for 30 € per day as a single and for about 20
€ in a double-room per person.

Anivas Place:

Outrigger Hotel:

The Outrigger-Hotel in Apia is managed by Claus Hermansen from Denmark with his samoan wife. The hotel is located at the cross-iland-road about 1 km from
south of the center of Apia. From here the road leads to the south-coast of Upolu.
Almost all rooms have showers and aircondition, moreover they have a swimming-pool, pool-table, computers with internet-access as well as a car-rental.
Bed & breakfast is about 30 € per person / day.

Cloud 9:

Cloud 9 is located about 12 km from the center of Apia about 450 meters above sealevel in the middle of the jungle. From here you have a magnificent view to Apia
and the northwest-coast of Upoul. On a clear day you can see even Savaii ! - One of the best places in Samoa to relax on the veranda, enjoying a drink and watch the
sunset.
Cloud 9 has a little restaurant with bar as well as 8 guest-rooms. The location is very quiet and the temperature is usually 3-4 degrees Celsius cooler than in Apia -
No traffic-noise and a beautiful and untouched nature, from the veranda you can watch flying-foxes and a lot of tropical birds. - A little river with some waterpools
crosses the property, which is good for swimming. - Also fales are available.

Moreover there are plenty of nice beach-fales where you can stay for about 25 € per person / day including accommodation and three meals at the most beautiful
beaches of Samoa

Taumai Beach Fales:

The Taumai Beach Fales are located between a blue lagoon and the mangrove-forest close to the village of Sa'anapu-Tai, Upolu. - Sa'anapu-Tai offers excellent
opportunities for snorkeling, swimming, kajaking in the mangroves, trekking-tours or windsurfing.

Lano Beach Fales:

Joelan Beach Resort is situated on the north-coast of Savaii, about 20 km west of Salelologa where you arrive with the ferry from Upolu. - Just take one of the busses
to Manase, they will drop you there.
The fales stand right next to the beach, the reef is about 300 meters off the shore. - Excellent place for swimming and snorkeling. - Accommodation including
breakfast, lunch and dinner for about 25 € per person and day.

Namua Island Resort:
The fales are on Namua Island, which is located within the reef. - A beautiful ilsand-idyll......also see Aleipata Ilsands !
